Review: Mind Tripping Act at the Hilton Hotel
When you perform a show the instant feedback of seeing your audience laughing, smiling, and occasionally sitting in open mouthed astonishment is very gratifying. We want our audience to experience a world that they seldom get to explore. In this photo people learn about the cognitive triggers of being a prevaricator. This is an audience favorite in the show. Every one is actively involved, whether they are on stage or sitting in the audience, everyone is trying to do something. I know…what does that mean? You have to come to the show to find out!
We love the interaction with our audience. You never know what they are going to say or do . . . and many times it has us bursting out loud in laughter. People sometimes are a little fearful of an interactive show such as Mind Tripping, but once they understand that it is a safe place to have fun and explore new worlds, they have a blast. Many times we have people come back to see our shows again just to enjoy the different directions the show might go depending on the people in the audience.
Maurissa had that look on her face that had the whole audience howling with laughter. She was such a cutie!!! You can’t plan for that type of show…it just happens when the audience lets go and allows us to take them on a Mind Trip.
The Mind Tripping show is very difficult to describe. Sometimes we ask our audience before the show, what they think the show is about. They usually are not sure. Then after the show we ask them to describe the show to us. Smiling, they usually stutter for words and then laugh as they realize that this is indeed a difficult show to put into words. Below are some of the comments we have gotten:
What surprised you about the show? I didn’t think it was going to be that funny. I mean, this was really fun and freaky. I will be telling my friends about this.
What was your favorite part? Dude, I am flipping out. The whole show was great . . . but that number thing, come on, that can’t be real. Can it??
Did you enjoy the show? This was one of the most entertaining shows we have been to in the last couple of years. The meal, the show, the free parking, this is quite a night out.
What was your favorite thing in the show? The butcher Knife of Death was great, but I also liked the mind reading that Katalina did – that was unbelievable. Well, I did really like when you put love to the test, that was really slick and I was watching you very careful the whole time, and (wife interrupted at this time) “He liked everything!”, she said laughing.
We also hear that people like the fact that our show is in the heart of Downtown Indianapolis, close to the Circle Center Mall, Indiana State Museum, Lucas Oil Stadium, Victory Field, White River State Park, and lots of restaurants including McCormick & Schmick, St. Elmo, Weber Grill, Capital Grille, Buca di Beppo, Harry and Izzy, Palomino’s, and so many more!
